      USS Paul Ignatius (DDG-117) Commissioning Ceremony

      The public is invited to join us as we celebrate the commissioning of the Navy's newest Arleigh Burke class destroyer, USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117), on Saturday, July 27 at Port Everglades. Named after an American patriot and the former Secretary of the Navy during the Lyndon Johnson Administration, USS Paul Ignatius will be placed into active service at this ceremony filled with pomp and pageantry. Sec. Ignatius will be present, along with dignitaries from the Navy and Department of Defense. Tours will be offered followed the ceremony. Please Note: There is no charge or donation required to request an invitation to attend. All who register will receive a formal invitation via US Postal Service and must respond by the printed deadline with all required security information to be admitted into the port for the ceremony. Invitations and seating are subject to availability.
