      Om Garden Vinyasa Yoga Class

Vinyasa yoga class (all levels) 7:30am-8:30 - The sanskrit word Vinyasa can be loosely translated “to place in a special/sacred way.” We focus on the breath throughout the entire class and pay close attention to matching our movements to it. Through the breath we can begin to find presence and balance in order to create space within our body. We will focus on intelligent alignment for each individual’s body, and move through traditional postures while receiving lots of hands on adjustments. Come for the yoga and stay to marvel at nature’s beautiful creations. Class is $10, cash or card is accepted and a few mats are available! Miami Beach Botanical Garden presents “Om Garden” yoga and meditation classes. Join one of the 4 regularly scheduled classes led by Franci Blanco, a certified teacher who has journeyed to India twice to learn yoga from the source and is on a mission to “shake the world in a gentle way.” Visit mbgarden.org to view the full schedule and details on classes or visit @FranciPrana Teacher Bio: Franci is a South Florida native that loves to surround herself with nature and is on a journey to “gently shake the world.” She initially fell in love with the practice of yoga in 2012 because it was a more enjoyable way to burn calories but quickly began to enjoy its therapeutic and mindful attributes as well. Through her corporate job, Franci worked closely with nonprofits for years, and in 2016 embarked on a journey throughout Asia for 6 months to volunteer with multiple animal welfare charities, indigenous tribes, and environmental conservation groups.  While away, she received her 200hr certification at Vinyasa Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. During this time, she began to share her practice with other volunteers in order to unwind after a typically stressful day. Franci has a consistent Ashtanga and Pranayama practice and has continued to attend workshops that delve deeper into the healing abilities of the breath and meditation to develop that practice. She aims to create powerful classes for all levels that empower individuals to cultivate a deeper awareness in order to create space in their bodies and lives, alleviate their tensions, and ease their minds.
