Meet Your Instructor: Erin Lee Erin Lee is the triathlete of filmmaking. She shoots, she edits, she scores!!! She is a intuitive editor and has a unique sense of feeling the flow and discovers the story. Erin is the owner of Kosmografia Pictures. She is a video producer and editor from Miami, with roots in San Francisco, Canada, and the Caribbean. She has worked internationally as an editor and technical director for large scale music festivals, including the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues and St. Kitts Music Festivals. As a shooter, editor, sound designer, and writer she has produced videos for the Caribbean travel shows, commercial spots, large non-profits, Bay-Area startups, educational web series, and is an award-winning editor for both short and feature narrative independent films. Erin has also worked as a prep editor and archival researcher for documentary projects, including the Berkeley-based Sacred Land Film Project, producers of the four-part educational series "Standing on Sacred Ground". In 2016 and 2017, she received Best Editing, Sound Design, and Score award for her work on the regional 48-Hour Film Contest with South Florida's women-lead film collective the 1310 Bandits. Erin was the co-lead editor for the 2017 feature film "Kali Ma Tina", which won the Audience Choice Award for the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival. In 2019, she was awarded the Oolite Art's Special Juror's Award grant with co-producer Alicia Edwards for their upcoming short documentary, highlighting Jamaica's influence on their local Miami neighborhood, Perrine. Her personal interests include environmental protection, the ocean, humor, books, collecting 45's, holistic healthcare and exploring human potential. This workshop is funded by the Broward Cultural Division and the Community Arts Education Partnerships (CAEP) Grant. Thank you for supporting the arts.
