      FFSHC Clinican Meet and Greet

      Florida Firefighter Safety & Health Collaborative has arranged a Meet and Greet with Behavioral Health Specialists.    All Southeast Florida Fire Chiefs or their designee are encouraged to attend this special networking event.   This invitation is extended to clinicians that attended the training provided by the Florida Firefighter Safety & Health Collaborative. This event is designed as opportunity for fire department representatives to meet with practicing counselors, clinicians, psychologists, psychiatrist or psychology students that may have attended our fire department clinician awareness training course.   We will discuss the following topics:     •Are you familiar with the current trends of how First Responders are dealing with Critical Stress?   •Explain the Peer Support Model  •Critical Incident Stress Management    • What is Self-Care   •Holistic approach   •Substance Abuse   •Addictions  •Sleep Deprivation   •What resources or referrals do you have available if you cannot meet the needs of a client?   •What Insurance's do you accept? •In or out of network? •Do you desire to join different insurance carriers? •Offer ways to reach out to the First Responders in your area  Clinical Response Teams (CRT )    It is the goal of the organizers to offer attendees an opportunity to network and establish a means of communication between mental health providers and public safety agencies. The Collaborative was founded in 2016 and is a 501c3 non-profit organization.   We currently have 6 regions covering the State of Florida. Northwest Florida, Northeast Florida, Central Florida, West Central Florida, Southwest Florida and Southeast Florida. We are currently working with depts. in the Tampa area (Central West Florida Region); our goal is to add regions in the Keys in the near future.
