      Building Blocks of Positive Parenting

This is the first of a 3-part seminar series on evidence-based parenting strategies for improving parenting skills. Our invited speaker, Dr. Allison Weinstein, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Clinical Psychology at UM, will discuss how the use of positive attention skills and child-led play (applied in as little as 5 minutes a day), improves children’s behavior while enhancing their relationships with caregivers. This seminar is offered for the caregivers of children ages 2 to 12 years old.  FSAP Health and Wellness seminars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program.  Attend to receive 150 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum of 300 points for FSAP seminar attendance per calendar year).
