      Understanding Depression

      Depression is a common illness that severely limits psychosocial functioning and diminishes quality of life. According to the World Health Organization there are approximately 300 million people affected. Join us to learn more about this topic including risk factors, symptoms and recommended treatments. Additionally, discussion will include information on how to support family and friends that are struggling with depression. This seminar will be facilitated by a UM FSAP consultant.  FSAP Health and Wellness seminars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program.  Attend to receive 150 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum of 300 points for FSAP seminar attendance per calendar year).
