      Beethoven on the Beach

      Orchestra Miami is proud to continue its series of Free Outdoor Concerts, with three performances of “Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans”. These concerts are presented as a gift to the community, completely free of charge. The concerts are co-sponsored by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City of Miami Beach and Atlantic Broadband.

      • Sunday, March 16, 2014; 8:00 PM at the Pinecrest Gardens “Banyan Bowl” (11000 SW 57 Avenue) in Pinecrest- gates open at 7:00 PM – General Admission Stadium Seating. Concessions will be available (all proceeds to benefit Orchestra Miami); Free parking available on-site.

      “Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans” features works by Rossini, Mendelssohn and Beethoven, conducted by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi. This year’s concert begins with the light-hearted Overture to La Scala di Seta by Gioacchino Rossini, followed by the unforgettable Concerto for Violin in E Minor, Op. 64 by Felix Mendelssohn, featuring Orchestra Miami’s Concert Master, Mei Mei Luo, as the soloist. The concert ends with Beethoven’s joyous Symphony N. 2 in D Major, Op. 36. This performance lovingly dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Yeh Singh.
